This project, granted by the Fundação La Caixa (LCF/PR/SR23/57000008), elects mental health as a human right and recognizes the importance of contributing to producing knowledge that helps us improve public policies. In this sense, we consider collaboration between academia, people who have experienced suffering at some point in their lives, families, and people working in various areas such as poverty, inequality, and health to be fundamental. We also emphasize the importance of developing tools to verify if the measures adopted are truly meaningful in people’s lives. Therefore, the project aims to contribute to developing a monitoring instrument that will later be made available free of charge to decision-makers and researchers. Considering the complexity of research in this domain and the dispersion of best practices, the dissemination activities of this project aim to highlight practices of excellence across various fields, including the arts, science, and public policy.
