From Where We Started to Where We’re Going [Main objectives]:
1) To understand and evaluate the path taken: to carry out a comprehensive, critical and systematic analysis of public policies and services related to the fight against child poverty and the intergenerational transmission of exclusion.
2) Democratizing and Sharing Knowledge: Involving professionals, families and, crucially, the voices of children, we aim to learn from their realities, and share what we learn so that we can co-create knowledge for the construction of possible worlds. We want to stimulate a space of proximity between people, of dialog and effective participation, where science can meet what is meaningful to us, what we really care about or are passionate about, and gently help us to keep dreaming.
3) Building bridges to social justice: developing field- and people-based, policy-oriented research. It will provide valuable knowledge and evidence-based recommendations to inform the formulation and development of tools, namely adjusted poverty indicators, and strategies to improve public policies and thus contribute to reducing child poverty – always with the utopia of eradicating it once and for all, in a constant struggle for human rights and, in them, children’s rights.
